The very definition of a special event, Sunday Evening Concerts at The Purple Onion are all about live music and the people who support it.
These Sunday concerts don’t follow any set schedule—except being on a Sunday, of course. They happen when we find a great band passing through or a regional favorite back in the area or an up-and-coming band we think our audience needs to hear. We take up the tables, put up chairs, set up a stage (leaving some room for dancing), and fill The Purple Onion with music. Fans get the opportunity to hear great musicians in an intimate setting—90-seat capacity. Musicians get to play to folks who truly appreciate what they do.
Sunday Concert Set-up
We have a special way of managing Sunday concerts at The Purple Onion. Music begins promptly at 7 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. There are no physical tickets; your booking through OpenTable serves as your entry and you simply give your name at the door. To ensure guests have the best listening experience, communal tables for dining are set up on our patio (enclosed and heated in the winter.) Bar service is available with a special event menu – salads, gourmet pizzas, sharables, and desserts. We encourage those who wish to dine with us to come prior to the 7 p.m. show time, so they may enjoy their meal at our community tables. Drinks and desserts remain available throughout the evening.
Seating is on a first-come, first-serve basis. You will receive a post-it note with your name to save your spot in the concert seating. Once you have chosen and saved your seat, you may order food and beverages at the bar. Continue on to our community tables, find a seat, and we will bring your food out to you. At 7 pm we will reconvene in the main dinning for music.
These concerts fill up fast. We strongly recommend you purchase tickets as soon as possible by visiting the link on the event page or by going to Purple Onion on OpenTable and scrolling to experiences. There are occasionally tickets available at the door, but we suggest calling ahead of time to ensure availability. Concert tickets are non-refundable, but are transferable if sold.
